Freedom in Christ

Jesus Still
Sets People Free.

Freedom is not hype. It's biblical. You are not too broken, too far gone, or too bound for Christ.

You are loved here
No judgment. No pressure.

"You are loved, seen, and welcome here."

Understanding Freedom

What Is Deliverance?

Simply put, deliverance is what happens when Jesus sets someone free. It's not a ritual, a program, or a denomination. It's a biblical reality rooted in the ministry of Christ and extended to every believer.

📜

Old Testament

God delivers Israel from Egyptian slavery. He rescues His people from exile, idolatry, and oppression — over and over. The Exodus is a deliverance story.

✝️

The Gospels

Jesus' ministry was marked by healing the broken, casting out demons, and setting captives free. He didn't just preach about liberty — He demonstrated it.

🔥

The Early Church

The apostles and early believers continued casting out spirits in Jesus' name. Writers like Justin Martyr and Irenaeus document this as normal church life.

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me… He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners… to set the oppressed free."

Luke 4:18 — Jesus' first public announcement of His mission

The Bible Says

What Scripture Teaches

Luke 4:18

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me… He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free."

1 John 3:8

"The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil."

James 4:7

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

2 Corinthians 10:4

"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds."

John 8:36

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

Am I in Bondage?

Signs Someone May Need Freedom

These are not diagnoses — they are invitations to prayer. If any of these resonate, it may be worth bringing them before God and a trusted, Spirit-led community.

Persistent patterns of sin despite genuine desire to change

Overwhelming anxiety, fear, or torment that feels disproportionate

Addiction or compulsive behavior that hasn't responded to prayer or counseling

Deep depression or hopelessness with no clear cause

Disturbing or intrusive thoughts, especially blasphemous ones

Feeling spiritually "blocked" or unable to connect with God in prayer

Generational patterns of brokenness, abuse, or addiction in your family

Traumatic experiences that left lasting spiritual and emotional wounds

Note: Not every struggle is demonic. Many are also addressed through repentance, counseling, community, and medical care. Discernment matters.

Clearing the Air

What Deliverance Is Not

There's a lot of misinformation — from Hollywood, from bad experiences, from well-meaning but misguided ministry. We want to be clear.

Not manipulation

There is no coercion, pressure, or emotional theater. You are always in control. The Holy Spirit moves gently.

Not a replacement for medical care

We honor the role of doctors, counselors, and mental health professionals. Spiritual freedom and professional care often work hand in hand.

Not about glorifying demons

The focus is always on Jesus — His power, His blood, His authority. Not on the enemy.

Not a quick fix

Deliverance opens a door. Walking through it — through discipleship, repentance, and relationship with Jesus — is what keeps you free.

Not extreme or sensational

Biblical deliverance is quiet, pastoral, and Christ-centered. Most encounters look nothing like what movies portray.

The Path to Lasting Freedom

More Than a Moment

True freedom is not a one-time event — it's a way of life. Deliverance opens the door. Discipleship keeps you walking through it.

🙏

Repentance

Turning from sin — not just behavior modification, but a change of heart and direction toward God.

📖

Scripture

Renewing the mind daily with God's Word. Romans 12:2 — transformation begins in the mind.

🕊️

The Holy Spirit

He is your Counselor, Comforter, and the active power of transformation in your life.

👥

Community

Freedom flourishes in relationship. Accountability, transparency, and mutual discipleship are essential.

🔥

Sanctification

An ongoing process of becoming more like Christ — not perfection, but direction.

♾️

Relationship with Jesus

Deliverance is not the destination. Jesus is. He is the one who sets free and keeps free.
