For all of human history, death had never lost. Not once.

If it is all true, what does that mean for you?

For all of human history, death had never lost. Not once.

Kings, warriors, prophets... every single one of them ended the same way: a grave, a stone, silence. That was the undefeated reality of the world. And just days before that Sunday morning, it looked like nothing had changed. Jesus Christ had been beaten, crucified in public, and buried under a sealed tomb guarded by soldiers.

His followers were scattered (as had others of the past), afraid, hiding. Their journey was over, their all that they had worked to build and share was lost... or at least, it should have been. But then, something happened that had never happened before. Until this moment, death had a 100% success rate. No one, in the history of time had (or would again) ever conquer the grip of death itself.

The ground didn’t shake because of defeat, it shook because death itself was about to be broken. That stone wasn’t rolled away so He could get out, it was rolled away so that we could see in.

The tomb was empty. Not disturbed. Not tampered with. Neatly empty. And in that moment, everything shifted. Sin no longer had the final word. Shame lost its grip. Fear lost its authority. Because if a man who was undeniably dead walked out of a grave, then death was no longer the end of the story. Death had been defeated. Relationship had been restored. That’s why Easter isn’t just important… it’s everything. Everything literally hinges on this. Not Christmas. Not tradition. Not religion. This.

Because on this day, the grave and he who held the power over it, lost.

So many questions swirled around this event, this moment... both then and even now. But only one question should truly resonate- if this really happened, then how will you respond to it? If it is all true, what does that mean for you? For the way you live? For how you think and act? For your self-centered behavior and personal ambition?

And, if this happened, that means this isn’t just history… but rather something that is extremely personal. The most personal thing that you will ever encounter during your existence. And that your existence means from now until... forever. In one state or another, once created, you will never cease to exist. None of us will. How we exist in the next phase, depends entirely on how we respond to this question.

Thank you, Jesus for your undeserving love, for the sacrifice that was required on my behalf. Thank you, God for choosing me, regardless of the sin that you saw in my life, regardless of the times that I have chosen myself over you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Today, He is risen!! Today, He is alive, still in his glorified human body. Not a ghost. Not just a spirit.

Not “back to being only God." Still fully God and still fully man. Jesus is active, embodied, and reigning, at this very moment.

Don't dismiss this, if you are here and reading this, this message is specifically for you.
