For the love of your eternal soul, please... do your research and your due diligence.

“If someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed…”

Someone recently shared this photo. This tent is part of a public outreach or street evangelism booth in the UK. These kinds of dawah (Islamic outreach) tents are commonly found near transit stations, city centers, University areas or public markets and festivals

From a biblical Christian perspective, this bold signage is making a serious claim: that Islam reveals the “true” Jesus. The central issue is that the Jesus presented in Islam and the Jesus revealed in the New Testament are very, very, very different. And honestly, there is no foundation for Islam, which is a hate-filled, war-loving, deceptive, empty religion.

In Islam:

  • Jesus (Isa) is honored as a prophet.

  • He is not considered the Son of God.

  • He was not crucified for the sins of humanity.

  • He did not physically rise from the dead.

  • He is not worshipped as divine.

In biblical Christianity:

  • Jesus is the eternal Son of God.

  • Fully God and fully man.

  • Crucified and resurrected.

  • The only way to salvation.

The apostle Paul warned strongly about accepting “another Jesus” or “another gospel.” 2 Corinthians says:

“If someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed…”

And 1 John emphasizes that denying the Son’s true identity is spiritually dangerous. Eternally deadly, in reality.

The most obvious and largest dividing line is the cross and resurrection. This is something that is inerrant and that goes without debate in the Christian world, and Christianity stands or falls on this, which is even declared in Scripture: 1 Corinthians teaches that if Christ was not raised, the faith is empty.

Another major contrast is found when considering the eschatologically (study of end of times). These two faiths uniquely diverge, and very sharply.

Biblical Christianity teaches:

  • Jesus returns as King of Kings.

  • He openly declares Himself Lord.

  • He judges evil.

  • He establishes His Kingdom.

Islamic end-times traditions include:

  • Jesus returning as a Muslim prophet.

  • Denial of His divine sonship.

  • Correction of Christians concerning worship of Him.

That creates a direct theological conflict over the identity of Christ in the last days also. And this little rabbit hole goes even deeper and deeper as it pertains to the end of age (another article for another time).

Christians are commanded to respond with truth and love, not hatred toward Muslims as people. Jesus calls believers to love neighbors, preach the Gospel boldly, and remain grounded in truth without fear or hostility. Muslims seem to prefer the opposite, which aligns very closely with everything that our enemy represents.

A concise biblical response to these things seem simple to me...

“If you lose the deity, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus, you have not learned the truth about Him- you have changed who He is.”

In this season, be very careful the seeds that you plant into the soil of your mind. Be careful the things that you entertain, for none are without impact.

Islam, while using the name of our Savior, is NOT in any way, shape, form, or fashion, related to truth, the gospel, or the real Jesus. Jesus was love, not war. He was acceptance, not rejection. He was unity, not division. Clarity, not confusion.

Islam may very well play a very significant part in the coming end of days, but not for the right or the winning team, regardless of any public message or earthly appearance. This is the work of evil and darkness, making it's greatest push yet upon our nations.

For the love of your eternal soul, please... do your research and your due diligence. Do not be deceived! It's your own personal eternity, do the most important thing you will ever do- discover truth for yourself!
