Yes, I just said that.
The sad reality is that many “churchy people” are no different from the crowd of others that they so proudly admonish. They sit high and mighty, holier than thou, in the same saved seats every week during a well-planned, expertly orchestrated service. They cling to the same, safe click of individuals, carefully and privately guarding their Sunday morning reputation; the other six days of their week, lived in private.
Routine, comfort, and familiarity have become the closest of friends to these type people.
They enjoy the lure of a church that people in the area are comfortable with: Clean. Predictable. Palatable to all parties...
…but are these REALLY descriptive words that someone who truly loves God would want to truly promote or describe a church of The Most High?
Name a single time in scripture that God was seen as any one of those descriptors, just one? And even hearing this, you fail to even see how you are missing the boat. You are powerfully afflicted with spiritual blindness! And are accepting of it!!
I have a feeling that the type people who fought to change the world in the days of the early church would not even be welcome in most of these churches. The men who carried the fire of heaven would be forced out of the public eye, required to take sensitivity training.
Those people, who would likely be despised in most of the modern church, understood the assignment. The early believers didn’t wait for permission. They didn’t wait for perfect conditions. They didn’t need a stage or a system. They just understood and acted accordingly.
Today’s church does not; the fire has gotten contained. The urgency softened. The mission became a meeting.
Most churches today aren’t even hosting God… they are managing Him; structuring limiting and governing Him. Their fear of people leaving their institution by offense, or offering amounts suffering... this dictates the message. Not authenticity.
How is it not time for change? For a return? How can we sit idly by and allow this to continue?
I’m not.
I’m not looking for comfortable. I’m not looking for people-pleasing or politically correct. I want a seeker-sensitive church.
I want a church that is pursuing undeniable, uncontrollable, Spirit-guided revival!
I want a church where God isn’t just talked about, He is there. Somewhere He isn’t something simply being taught; He is someone being experienced.
I want a church that dies to themselves, that sacrifices their own desires to benefit others. People who give without reservation, who love without limits. People who truly understand, deep in their soul, what relationship means- to God and to one another. Are these not the greatest commandments?
I want a church who realizes that time truly is of the essence, who realizes the attacks being waged against marriages and children, and perform offense in this war, not failing, reactive defense.
And if you are seeking the same, then you are here for a reason. God is confronting the spirit of Pharaoh in His Church... the systems, the control, the captivity disguised as “correctness” and “order”. And hear me when I say this... heaven is still declaring: LET. MY. PEOPLE. GO!
This is your moment to step out.
To rediscover prayer that actually expects movement.
To build community that actually knows each other.
To live a faith that isn’t contained to a schedule, but spills into everyday life.
Be filled… and then go. This IS The Early Church.
The Kingdom of God is not coming someday, y’all. It’s HERE.
It is already at hand. Only those in absolute denial would ignore the immense proof of this. But many of us are not. The Bride is waking up.
The move of God is not on the horizon…
It’s not coming next year or soon…
It’s not waiting for permission of fulfillment…
It is HERE and NOW.
And everything that has been prophesied has, is, and will unfold exactly as it is written.
Forever is at stake, you may not have another day to decide. For some, even another hour... a fall, a vehicle accident, a heart attack, a stroke, an act of God... our physical lives are very fragile, our souls are eternal. This is by design.
Take a second. Whisper to God about the things you just read.
Let Him reveal these truths to you also. Then, please, please, please... take this seriously. The only one who stands to gain or lose, is you.
