Looking around our communities, I can't help but wonder, what good is Christianity if we continue gathering behind closed doors while the world outside is being surrendered to darkness? How long will we celebrate what happens inside the sanctuary while entire neighborhoods are falling apart? How long will we applaud another service, another sermon, another song, while our neighborhoods are discipled by voices that hate the truth?
The Church was never commissioned to hide, we were commissioned to invade. Jesus never said, “Build comfortable gatherings and wait for the lost to find you.” He said, “Go.”
Go into the world.
Go make disciples.
Go proclaim the Kingdom.
Go heal the sick.
Go cast out demons.
Go love the forgotten.
Go confront darkness with the light of Christ.
Somehow, as we always do as humans, we confused gathering with obedience.
The sanctuary became our destination instead of our staging ground. We became experts at hosting events while neglecting the mission. We polished our programs while the harvest stood waiting. We protected our comfort while the enemy expanded his influence without resistance.
The Church is not losing ground because hell has become stronger, the Church is losing ground because too many believers have become spectators instead of ambassadors.
We pray, “Lord, change our nation.” He answers, “Go.”
We ask Him to bring revival while refusing to leave the safety of our schedules.
We ask God to transform our cities while expecting someone else to carry His presence into them.
The Kingdom of God has never advanced through passive observation. It advances through surrendered men and women who refuse to let darkness occupy territory that belongs to Christ.
The world does not need another impressive church service; it needs a Church that walks out the doors carrying the presence, power, compassion, and authority of Jesus Christ.
The building was never the mission. The people are.
So stop asking whether church was good this Sunday. Ask whether hell noticed the Church showed up on Monday.
The King has already given His command. We have his instruction. We know His will.
Now go.
