Explain this.
Rome had the military might to crucify Christians, imprison them, and execute them for refusing to abandon their faith. For generations, the empire tried to crush a movement built around a man it had executed on a cross.
Yet Christianity spread.
In 313 AD, Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity. In 380 AD, Emperor Theodosius I made Nicene Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire.
The empire that crucified Christ eventually embraced the faith of Christ.
No, every Roman didn't become a genuine believer. History is more complicated than that. But the transformation is undeniable: a movement that began with a crucified Savior and persecuted followers outlasted one of the most powerful empires in human history.
Jesus had no army. No political office. No earthly throne.
So why, two thousand years later, is His name still changing lives, challenging empires, and being proclaimed by people willing to die rather than deny Him?
If you're an unbeliever, a skeptic, or someone who has always dismissed Christianity without seriously examining its claims, I'm not asking you to check your brain at the door.
I'm asking you to investigate.
Read the historical accounts. Examine the evidence for the resurrection. Consider the testimony of those who followed Jesus at the cost of their lives. Ask yourself whether your conclusions are based on what you've actually examined—or what you've always been told.
You don't have to pretend you believe. You don't have to silence your questions. But be willing to follow the evidence wherever it leads, even if it challenges everything you thought you knew.
If Jesus Christ really rose from the dead, and He did, this isn't merely an interesting chapter of ancient history; it should change everything for you!
Don't dismiss Him without investigating Him. The question isn't simply why Rome couldn't stop Christianity. The question is, after all of the effort to stop Him, why did they finally embrace Him?
Anyone who sees this should take pause and think about this scenario. In what other reality could this even possibly make sense, except for it being truth.
