Wage War Verbally.

John 15:7

You weren’t created to sit quietly in the middle of an ongoing, raging war.

There comes a point where you realize… silence isn’t actually being neutral. It’s not really harmless, like we might have thought. It’s not strength.

Sometimes, silence is hurtful. Sometimes, it’s surrender.

The enemy doesn’t panic over the thoughts you ponder in the back of your mind, he can’t even hear them. He doesn’t lose sleep over how you feel or what you might mean or plan to say. But there is something about the Word of God leaving your lips that shifts things. According to scripture, it always has.

You weren’t created to sit quietly in the middle of an ongoing, raging war. You were given a voice for a reason: to fight, to battle, to declare…. Scripture is as alive today, as the moment it was written!

Speaking scripture reaches into the places fear hides.

It exposes lies you didn’t even realize you were believing. It weakens strongholds and enforces spiritual law.

Jesus didn’t argue with the enemy. He didn’t explain Himself. He didn’t defend His feelings.

He spoke truth. Simple. Direct. Final.

“It is written.”  And that was enough, because that was, is, and always will be, the governing law.

Waging war audibly is not about having the perfect prayer. It’s not even about feeling strong or confident or put together. Maybe, it’s more about being faithful, opening your mouth to speak when everything in you wants to stay quiet. Speaking truth, even when your voice shakes.

Declare aloud what God promises, even when your situation or your emotion hasn’t even caught up yet.

Declare appropriate scripture, God’s living Word, over your home. Over your family. Over your job. Over your mind. Over the places that feel empty, tired, and worn out.

Because something happens when you walk in this obedience.

Not always instantly. Not always visibly. But in the unseen, something real transpires.

Things begin to shift. Lies start losing their grip.

And you also begin to remember, this fight was never yours to carry alone.

You don’t need more opinions.

You don’t need better arguments.

You need truth.

So open the Word. Work tirelessly at getting it planed deep inside of you.

“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” - John 15:7
