At The Early Church, we want to address something clearly and honestly:
We are not against the modern church.
We believe the local church has incredible value. Churches feed people spiritually. They create community, foster friendships, support families, organize outreach, pool resources for greater impact, and provide places for worship, discipleship, and biblical teaching. Many faithful pastors, leaders, and congregations genuinely love Jesus and serve people sacrificially every single day.
We honor that.
The heart behind the early church movement is not rebellion against the church. It is a call back to the depth, simplicity, boldness, and Spirit-led lifestyle seen throughout the book of Acts.
The early believers lived daily surrendered lives. They prayed together, shared life together, discipled one another personally, served boldly, and carried the presence of God beyond a building and into everyday life.
This gathering together in homes was the original small group. Long before church buildings, programs, or Sunday services, the first Christians met in small, intimate communities — breaking bread, praying, learning from the apostles, and sharing life shoulder to shoulder (Acts 2:42-47). The small group is not a modern addition to the church; it is the church, as it began.
That is what we are pursuing.
This is not about abandoning church buildings, attacking denominations, or creating division within the body of Christ. The problem has never been buildings. The danger is when Christianity becomes performance without presence, routine without surrender, or religion without transformation.
We believe the Church was always meant to be more than a weekly gathering. It was meant to be a living body of believers fully alive in Christ.
So no, we are not fighting the church.
We Are Fighting For
- Awakening
- Authentic discipleship
- Spirit-filled living
- Deeper surrender
- A faith that extends beyond Sunday morning
The goal was never to abandon the Church.
The goal is to become it.
